Our whiteboards and drywipe writing boards will give you many years of trouble free use provided you follow these 5 simple guidelines.
Always use good quality dry marker pens with a soft tip, and allow the ink to dry before it is erased. Hard tip pens may scratch and damage the writing surface of the board.
Always erase writing with a dry marker eraser or a soft cloth which should be cleaned or replaced regularly to avoid build-up of pigment, as this will crystallise and form an abrasive surface whichcould damage the writing surface of your board.Do not leave written work on the board over a holiday or for morethan one week.
Over a period of time, a build-up of pigment may cause a slightdiscolouration of the surface. This can be removed by using DBD Unique whiteboard cleaner, available in 250ml spray 1 litreor 2.5 litre container, and then buffing with a dry cloth.
For older or more heavily stained boards, use DBD Unique WHITEBOARD Conditioner, available in 250ml spray 1 litre or 2.5 litrecontainer. This will produce a silicone film on the surface, tofacilitate subsequent cleaning. After application, the conditionermust be left for 24 hours, to dry completely. We recommend this isonly used once or twice a year. This must NOT be used on boardswith rulings.
If a permanent marker has been used in error, DO NOT USESTRONG SOLVENTS or ABRASIVES. DBD Unique WHITE BOARDConditioner, available in 250ml spray 1 litre or 2.5 litre container, can be used to remove the pigment but must be left 24 hours todry completely. This must NOT be used on boards with rulings.
